Fine Finish Construction Founder Izzy Vargas Featured on CBS Austin's We Are Austin
Austin, Texas | October 2026
Fine Finish Construction founder Izzy Vargas recently joined CBS Austin's We Are Austin to discuss her journey as a woman in the construction industry, the importance of transparency in home improvement, and her commitment to serving homeowners throughout Central Texas.
From roofing and storm damage repairs to home remodeling and general contracting, Fine Finish Construction is working to make the construction experience more approachable, transparent, and dependable.
From a Childhood Passion to a Construction Company
Growing up in Dripping Springs, Texas, Izzy Vargas developed an early fascination with construction. She enjoyed visiting job sites, learning about building projects, and asking experienced tradespeople how things worked.
That curiosity eventually developed into a professional career and the founding of Fine Finish Construction, a woman-owned roofing and general contracting company serving Austin and surrounding Central Texas communities.
During her CBS Austin appearance, Izzy reflected on her journey, the mentors who helped her grow, and her desire to create more opportunities for women in construction.
Why Transparency Matters in Roofing and Remodeling
Home improvement projects can be intimidating. Whether a homeowner needs a roof replacement, storm damage assessment, bathroom renovation, or larger construction project, understanding the scope of work and associated costs is essential.
Izzy emphasized the importance of asking questions, comparing estimates, and understanding what contractors are recommending before making major decisions.
At Fine Finish Construction, this philosophy shapes the company's approach to customer relationships: clear communication, quality workmanship, and helping homeowners feel confident throughout their projects.
